Not really. So I feel kind of stupid. But a good lesson.
I've been complaining about my ph going up, up, up on my Pinpoint monitor, but I've been testing it also with my test kit. Which of course were giving me different reading. I went out to get calibration fluid, no one had any, got another type of test kit instead, it had readings much different than the monitor, but the same as other test kit.
Took monitor down to check connections and read the little bitty print on screen "low battery".
One new battery later and it's reading 8.4. I'm sorry that I bothered everyone here about this.
Monitors, have to be careful with them. You have a tendency to sit and watch and worry. Just like when I was in labor and my husband was kind enough to watch the monitors and announce for me that a "BIG ONE" was coming. Because the monitors they use to watch contractions pick them up before you actually start to feel them.
If I could of gotten out of that bed I would have stuck that monitor right up his --- !
