PH Buffer?

Whats the consensus on using PH Buffer as an additive? I went to my LFS yesterday and he recommended adding it every other day to keep PH in check.
My PH is fine so far, should I start using this?

If it isn't broke, don't fix it. Only use the buffer if you absolutely have to. Your LFS is just trying to make a sale.

yeah i kinda figured that. i bought it anyway just to have on hand incase my ph does go out of what.
So does anyone use PH Buffer on an every other day basis?
