ph low

so my ph is 7.8, so i bought seachem reefbuffer. Suppose to bring the ph up to 8.3 but my calcium and alkalinity are right where they are supposed to be. If alkalinity raises because of this should i raise calcium too?

Just think of it as adding to alkalinity.Test the alk to see if you need to add the buffer. The calcium is separate from the alkalinity but is affected by it. Test the alk and calcium the next day to see were you wind up. You may have to add calcium after the alk gets to where you want it because each addition of buffer can knock some calcium out.

If your Alkalinity is where you want it then low alkalinity isn't the reason PH is low. So, don't add more, it will just add one more problem to your tank.
Find out why it's low and then fix the problem, don't try to mask the problem by adding a buffer.
A few of the most common reasons:
High Carbon dioxide levels - insufficient waterflow, indoor air, malfunctioning skimmer.
High metabolic acids - accumulated detritus, dirty filter pads, overfeeding

the seachem reef builder raises alk without impacting ph. if your ph is low then you need to use brightwell aquatics ph+ it raises ph. but you need to find the problem. it may be low circulation at the water's surface, that is not allowing the ph to stabilize.

my pH fluctuate between 8.1 to 7.80 everyday despite of heavy kalkwasser dosing. the TOTM winner with large SPS tank his ph drop to 7.6 without any issues. i heard its common to mature tank with heavy SPS ?
i have very good circulation inside the tank with large outdoor skimmer no algae issues or so ever.

It's common for tanks that use a Calcium reactor because the excess CO2 is difficult to disperse.

so i have a ton of water flow, my tank has very little detritus, and i caould never get my ph to rise. The only time i have ever gotten it to raise is when i switched to ro water. all my corals and such are healthy
