PH to high

my ph is always really high and I am looking for something to add to bring it down. I think since I only have three small fish in my 75 that may be part of the problem, not much of a waste load. Ph is always about 8.8

your fish have nothing to do with it, frag tanks usualy have little to no fish, and have a stable PH,l what kinds of water do you use, do you add anything, what is the reading to your top off and water chang water? maybe its just the test kit, try to have your LFS test your PH with a different kit.

never dose what you dont test....
what are you trying to buff with that buffer? :D , alk, calcium, PH?
and dripping kalk also raises it, how often and how fast do you drip it?

Do you drip kalk 24/7? that causes a high PH. If you drip at night it will help to keep it from going up and down from day/night.

Thank you for all the replies. I would say it is low alkaline. An elegance is not a fish but a coral.
