PH too high!

my PH is at 8.6 an hour before the lighs go on. i have a 130 gal reef tank. i only use 4 72" vho lights. how do i lower it.

I would suggest a water change. I wish I had your problem. I can't keep my PH above 8.0

would a buffer help?

A buffer would not help. It would probably make it worse. Test your water chage water. If is of a lower PH. Begin frequent small water changes until the pH comes down.
