Phos-Ban reactor

So i bought a reactor from BRS, and got the BRS Phos-Ban media to go with it, hooked it up like the instructions show...
my question's are this..
Due to minimal research i have done, the Phos-Ban from what I've read removes Nitrites and Nitrates from the water.
Does the Phos-Ban make the water any clear'er per say?
I looked at buddy of mines tank who uses a reactor and his water is SUPER clear. my water is umm not so clear. Im trying to get that crystal clear look and water quality.
Any help would be appreciated.. IM also running a sock of Carbon but not a Carbon Reactor, which I'm looking to purchase next.

Are you referring to running GFO.....I frequent the BRS site and haven't ever seen Phos Ban offered......

I caution you.....Before you start running it to check out their recommended amount to use.....Even after you read the recommended use to use less than called for and then if needed to slowly increase the amount.......

I put in the exact amount, and it said DO NOT RINSE on container. I hooked it up. I followed the instructions from the BRS video.
What will happen to the tank?

DO NOT RINSE.......Mine says to rinse until the water runs clear......I always put it in the sink...run a small power head in a bucket of water....and run water thru the unit until all the brown in gone

Not laughing at you, but with you.....For once people follow instructions.....It has been noted and not on BRS site, but other credible sources to start with a lower amount and work your way up......People have had adverse affects starting with the recommended amount.....It could possible strip things to fast......Monitor your system closely would be my recommendation.......
There was another product back a few years ago.....RowaPos......was a decent product, but people found using to much stripped their tanks to fast.....Again same things have happened to a few that was my reason for cautioning......

A duel Phosphate and carbon reactor will make the water clear, a skimmer will help too. You might just need to have some filter floss to get the big particles out of the water as it filters. OR...Blast the rocks with a turkey baster, and do a water change.
