I use Seachem Phosguard, i beleive it is called. It pulls out phosphate like a sponge. The only con that I can think of is that you have to change it out every week or so. If not the phosphate goes back into the tank

i have used phosguard also, and it worked fairly well. you will need a phosphate test kit, and as soon as the levels start to rise again, change the phosguard out. i have heard good things about phosban also.
