Can anyone reccomend a good test kit for this? Im gonna pick one up today and check my tank cuz my algae doesnt seem like its going away.

I used sailfert tests when I thought I had an algea issue. Come to find out it was overfeeding, lights needed to be replaced and need more flow. Are using Ro/DI water?

Well ive added more flow with another PH. I dont feed anything cuz all thats in there is a clean up crew and my lights are only 3 months old. I guess ill try the Salifert tests and see whats up. Thanks.

ok, how old is the RO filter?

No RO filter i buy water from Walmart. My lighting schedule is 11am Actinic ON 12pm daylight ON 8pm daylight OFF 9pm actinic OFF.

Im actually acclimating a Big mexican turbo and another emerald crab right now :)
My parameters are:
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 10
PH - 8.4
Ca - 380 ( i know its low)
KH - 10.6 dkH
ALK - 3.77
Phos - 0
How do these look? The KH, Phos and ALK i used Salifert i just bought. Everything else i use saltwater master kit.

You might cut your lights back to 8 hours since you dont have any corals to use up some of the light.

Originally i had them both come on for 8 hours and that was it. I just recently changed it up. Maybe ill try and go back to 8 hours and see how that does. Do my parameters look ok though?
