photo file size to large?

How do I upload a photo to my new thread?
tried and message said:
photo file size to large, maximum for this is 976.6 KB.
My photo I am trying to upload to thread is 2.35 MB.

just use imageshack, copy the first "thumbnail for boards" link. Uncheck "automatically parselinks" here, click insert image, enter text for pic (optional) hit ok, paste link

You need to set your camera pixels to the closest available to 500 x 500 (mine is 640 x 480), Take your photos and use an edit program to resize (crop) to 500 x 500 (or the closet possible size smaller).
