I never will cut them with anything, they are my favorite thing in my tanks. Thats why I ordered more of them. Do you think I should move them down to the sand because the lfs has them on the bottom of his personal tank and all he has iss PCs.

No clue. Sorry. I suppose it depends on your lighting, and if they grow. //shrug They will move about if not happy.
Edit: I'm only on my second clam, the first, I giot around 1986 as a freebie for buying more than 200 US$ worth of stuff.

In my lfs the clams are on the bottom, in sand, but as an experienced SW keeper, these are temp. conditions, and only holding tanks. The LFS also has great lighting. :)

NICE CLAMS!!!
i just got an 8" blue rim drassa (sP) for 80 bucks! it is opening up. I have a guy here in orlando who imports them. he only gets them in like once a month but it is worht while to wait for it!
