4 clowns, 2 turbos, 3 blue legged hermits, and one flame shrimp. I am just starting out so not too much. I am going to get a lawnmower this weekend. Anyone think I should switch my background to blue?

you could do blue..blue is nice background...
And also i just see 1 Ph on the right side, put one more on the left to give more water movement.....I also have a 55gl and putting 1 more PH on the middle so will be 3 total...

Thanks! Right now I just have one powerhead, my hob, and wet/dry create a nice flow on the top but I have been planning on getting another one and locating towards the bottom left of the tank.

Suzi, nice start. I think the clowns are an issue though. That tank is not large enough for 4 of them. Yes they may pair up, but most likely 2-3 will pick on the smallest and then the other 2 will kill the 3rd. One pair is best suited for the tank. My 2 are doing great in my 55 and are hosting my featherduster that is inches away from my LTA. Good luck.

I have been thinking about this, and then also I don't want a whole tank of clowns! They are actually all a family and get along great (they came from someone else's tank) I am thinking I will trade two of them in at the lfs and use the credit to get more of a cleaning crew. I think I need some more hermits, snails and I would like to get a cleaner shrimp. My fire just hides all the time

I would also like to get a feather duster... when you trade fish in how much of a % do you get from there price? My lfs sells clowns for $24.99, so I am hoping for maybe $10 each... is this too low, too high to hope for?

Looks great!! I like the aquascaping too!! My lfs gives me about half when I trade something in so about $10 sounds right.

I wanted some room at the top of the tank, I just didn't want all rock. It is fun to build, I probably changed my rock around 100 times before I was happy with it
