Now thats a Burn!!! I am a cook and now a goo burn when I see one. Just run cool water, don't put ice on it, that is too extreme. Hopefully you don't work with hot items because it sucks if you do. Well, take care of that hand!

There is a first aid company that vends for a lot of work places called "ZEE", if you see one of their first aid kits, use the burn cream. That stuff is awesome!! Takes the sting out instantly!! Even if it's tomarrow, it will still work real well. Actually, it works so well, that you will pocket some to bring them home.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the mishap. Do you have an Aloe plant or Vitamin E? Either one will work wonders on that bad boy.

A lot of things will "work" for a burn, this is the only stuff that completely eliminates the pain!!
AHH come on now Murph, pain is only temporary. SWF glory, well....

Murph,
I have the same type off canopy(lid) on my tank. It slammed shut on my hand once but didn't get burnt. I thought my hand broke but luckily it was just the immediate pain from the impact. I just don't trust those hinges any more, they just look unsecure. Now I put two rolled up towels on both sides of the canopy as a buffer when I am working on my tank, just in case it decides to close shut.

Ditto
You just need a paper cut and lemmon juice for the other hand. Looks Painful!!!!!

yeah its getting infected today i just went to the store to get some different things to try and clean it up cuz the top layer of skin is dead and the underneath is getting infected i think i need to either take the top layer off myself or go to the doctors on that one
yeah the hinges on the top just gave way letting it slam down on my hand but the MH landed right on it
my new canopy for my new tank has a removable front panel with enough clearance this time so i shouldnt hit it hopefully

It is probably not getting infected. It is edema in response to the inflammation from the burn. Do not pop your blisters; then you will be more susceptible to infection.
It looks
.
I hope you feel :joy: soon.

Ouch! That looks awful.
I didn't take a picture, because photographic evidence of my own stupidity isn't something I wanna keep around... lol... but... I was cleaning my glass, bumped a zoa colony and automatically grabbed it before it could fall into the back of the rockwork... and bonked my forehead on my MH pendant. Luckily, it wasn't hot enough to do THAT to my forehead, but I did have a lovely hot pink rectangle on my forehead, front and center, to remind me. I actually cut myself some bangs to hide it. And still feel like a jackass.
