heres my new jawfish!
hes cool made his home under a samll piece of LR in my tank
sorry its a lil blurry cant figure out how to get the camera to do close ups i just got it recently

u know im not totally sure!
the guy at the LFS didnt really know either he said something like a flashlight jaw fish but he wasnt sure .... its funny cuz they barely ever know what they sell.... they sold me a "table coral" and it was really a pagoda cup coral lol

either way they have cool stuff!
hes red with black and white splothces
ill get a full pic and post it later

Cute fish..it looks like a dusky.If it is..expect it to eat any shrimp or fish smaller than itself.

whats a dusky??
all i know is that this fish has the hugest mouth for his size....
so far he is peaceful and luckily my only shrimp is a large cleaner shrimp.... and i dont have any fish smaller than him....
i will add a couple new pics as soon as the message board is back up.... ill have some full length pics of him outta his new home.... ;-)
he is a cool fish though adds a nice touch toi the lower part of the tank.... him and the mandarin are fun too watch.... the jaw fish has eyes like kermit the frog and he looks all over as the other fish swim over him

I had one, i think there like a red head dusty. Anyway do you have a moon light? If not I would consider getting one. There jumpy little guys and get scared in the dark. Another question, do you have a closed top for your tank? They are jumpers

my top is open i have a canopy though.... if he jumped towards the back he would get out .... the first night he was freaked out but now that he made a home he seems happier and no so skidish..... i dont have any moonlights but the tank isnt in total darkness i have lights on in the house that gives the tank a lil light ....
