Awesome fish. I know the blue spotted jaws are more rare but are they also harder to keep than the pearly jaws or the tigers?

how much did you get him for if u dont mind me asking. Is it from a lfs?

I picked him up at the lfs for $79. I do a lot of business there, they gave me a good discount on this guy. He has a great personality, I have been reading up on them and will try to give extra care. He is not shy about eating and made a burrow right away near the front of my tank.

From what I have read they just need to be fed more often with a mixed diet. They live in depths of over 100 feet in the ocean. Having enough sand for them to burrow is a must

How deep is your sand bed?

sand bed is about 5 inches in the spot he is now. Overall about 3-4 inches
