I'm love my EV-240. It's an energy hog powered by a mag-18 but it gets the job done. Replaced stock 3/4 inch injector with a 1 inch injector.

What exactly is an EV-240?
I have a remora and it only makes foam about once a month, and then it does nothing but make noise.

It's by AquaC also. It's the in-sump model. I would rather have the EV-400 but my old stand could not fit a skimmer 32 inchs tall.

Hmmm thats wierd. I have a remora and it skims like a beast! Just in case you are wondering.... its running on a maxijet.

How tall is the EV-240. I'm looking to replace my skimmer and all that froth is making my mouth water...

What do you think the difference between getting EV-240 with the Mag12 vs the Mag18 pump would be?

I'm not sure on the difference between the mag 12 and 18 pumps. I upgraded my injector to the 1inch and never put the mag 12 back in. The EV 240 is 26 inchs tall and the 400 is 32 inchs tall.

Are you seeing a lot of micro bubbles? I'm wondering if I need to add a baffle to the sump. The section where it would go is about 18 inches by 12 in.

I have 2 bubble diffusers / dividers in the sump.
It goes return pump mag-12 divider / bubble diffuser - area for Refugium (which just has Live Rock in there right now) - divider / bubble diffuser - skimmer pump/ return for skimmer and tank overflow exits into sump.
All bubbles have to go through 2 divider / bubble diffuser and the divider before the return pump I have a sponge to catch any bubble that make it through.
