no way on putting picasso with any invert except a carpet anemone and even then picasso might end up dead. DO NOT DO IT! Don't buy or take advice from that store....what idiots!!

the point is..
triggers will decimate invertebrates in your tank.
You listed coral that you have, and we're just assuming that because you have coral you have invertebrates as well. Putting a trigger in there would be nice for the trigger (assuming you have no anemone's) but very bad for your entire invertebrate population.
your local fish store just wants your money.
do not consult them when it comes to issues such as this!

I have relocated all inverts to my sons tank the only thing left is the corals and a couple of bumble bee snails I can't get to. oh, yes and the giant clam which I still need to remove. I'm trying to be careful with it because I don't want to tear his foot off. Thank you for your help. Do the triggers actually eat the corals or do they just destroy them.

i agree...you don't have to worry about the corals much.
it's the invertebrates you have to worry about...

Well, maybe I will give him a try with the corals on a trial basis. If they start looking stressed or damaged I will move them. Do you have any suggestions on how to get the clam to release his foot without harming him? The place he is attached doesn't allow me to get my finger in there to try and help him release.

We have three triggers (Picasso, Pinktail, Undulated, with mushroom coral and button polyps, and they have been together for almost 2 and 1/2 years. We purchased 150 hermit crabs about 1 year ago, there are maybe 5 to 10 left. One was the size of a baseball, others were dime to nickle size. IMO Corals yes, inverts no.
