Picked up a good deal.

So this LFS who sold me contaminated water and killed my tank had a salt sale.
160g bucket of regular instant ocean (purple ones) on sale for 24.99.
Idiots brought out the expensive reef crystal from instant ocean. (around $60)
My friend told me about it and I had some store credit left from that store so what did I do?
I bought 5 buckets

here is the kicker.
I had $5 coupon off $25 and $20 off $100.
So I ended up spending 20 per bucket. WIN.
I'm going for 4 more buckets on Sunday.

I don't think they go bad...as long as they are sealed and no moisture can get to them

Lol Lois. I know that they are great salt for reef and costs much more regularly.
I just wanted to take advantage of this situation get settled for couple of years lol.
20 bucks for reef salt is really unheard of lol.

I just checked and the best online pricing I could find was 37.00. I'd buy all he's got left and resell it to club members of something at 30 a bucket

nah I don't want to do that to the good people who missed out on this opportunity. I would just keep it and use it over the years since it won't go bad due to the sealing and etc.

krista - That's what I think so too. I'm stocked up until 2013 lol. Gonna go by today and make it until 2014.

So I picked up 10 buckets overall lol. Good to last me for 4 years unless I have to do HUGE water changes.
I wiped them clean, they said they will check the back room for me lol. Maybe I will give one of these as a present for a tank buddy in my area lol.
