I've had two small clowns for 2 weeks now and they won't leave each other's side. The LFS lady gave me clowns of different sizes so they'd figure out who was going to be the female pronto. The strange thing is, the smallest of the two is the one prancing in front of the other and having seizures. I read that this is a dominant behavior of the females.
Is it possible that the smaller clown will be more dominant and grow into the female?
Here are the little fellas....

i guess anything is possible in the ocean world! i have had 2 clowns for about a year now and what i thought was the smaller one from the beginning is now the larger one. they are always together but wont touch the anemone and never spawned so i dont know what to tell u but the fish will figure it out lol.

From what I know, the smaller one always does the "dance", which indicates that it is the male. He is showing the larger female clown that she is the boss. haha.

I like to describe the male as having seizures and the female as "doing the funky tuna." My advice is to not worry about it because the clowns will always know what they are doing better than we ever will

from my understanding, the males have the seizures as a way of submitting to the female.
i call it the harlem shake btw.
