Nice looking tank. Good thing you are upgrading soon. You seem a bit overstocked fishwise.
Did that clam and anemone survive your tank crash?

i mean why do you have three clowns? have they caused any problems? cuz you're only supposed to keep them in pairs? and they are of different types..... i have a false perc and want a true perc so i was just curious.

Oh, lol actually there is a very pleasant story to that. I had two clowns (the larger two) for about 3 months, one day, i spotted eggs. I knew they had mated but i wasnt gonna go through the hassle to hatch the eggs. The fry hatched and i'm guessing most of them just got eaten...but one day i looked in the tank and i saw a baby clown that was no more than 1/2 inch with all of his stripes and everything...i have absolutely no clue how he made it...lol so he's stayin ;)

The other thing that i think is super super weird is that he looks like a false perc...and i think the others are true percs...like his stripes are solid without the black...weird.
But i got the frag for free because i work at a LFS and i run all the reef tanks so i grow colonies out and frag off peices for myself...my boss is really cool he hooks me up...
and yeah i'm way excited about the 65. It'll be a bigger tank and i'm gonna have halides and a couple sieo 1500's so i can do SPS ;D

ID's: looks like a hairy mushroom for your ID question. Also looks like a squamosa clam.
Sooner or later, I think the 3 clowns will begin to be more aggressive toward each other---just an FYI
Glad you'll be upgrading.
Enjoy

hey how long have u had the blue hippo tang for? i have a 20 gallon also and i was thinking about adding one in there for about half a year till i upgrade. the ones at my LFS are about 1/2 an inch. but im wondering if he will grow to much in that 6 months.

not too long...about four months. I dont feed mine all that much adn he's about doubles in size...he's about 2 inches now. I wouldnt keep him in there any longer unless i was upgrading. I'd say 6 months you can probably do no longer than that. AND NO, I'm not promoting tangs in small tanks...lol, just thought i'd throw that out there.
Sweet....three different ID"s on the clam...lol it was given to me by a friend so that's why i'm not sure what it is. It looks like a squamosa to me though...I'll get a better pic of the shell next week
