haha, Love, no it wasn't where we slept. The construction crew wakes at 3am and I went in with my flashlight to brush my teeth and I look in the mirror and it was crawling up the wall behind me! When it made it to the top, which is where it is in the pic, I calmly walked outa the bathroom and asked a guy...a big, ex NY police, puerto rican guy, if he was afraid of spiders... He sits up all straightlike and says no, I don't have a problem with spiders... So I put on my most helpless damsel in distress expression and said,"Can you come take care of this for me?" he struts to the bathroom, stumbles back 2 steps and quickly says, "I'm afraid of THAT one!!" It was so funny!! The spider was about 6 or 7 inches across... When I shined my flashlight at it, all it's eyes reflected!!
But our beds were safe from all the bugs!

that is sooooo funny, that thng is beyond evil looking. Pure evil...at least he admitted he wasn't going to mess with that thing
Really, what would you do with it?
Well I am happy with your sleeping quarters, nothing can get in there......at least the BIG stuff!

They got a broom, knocked it down, swatted it with a broom and when the broom was on it, some guy jumped on the broom.
Turned out the spider was harmless, at least to people. It devoured 2 little spiders while we were trying to figure out how to kill it. Anyway, part of me feels bad for killing it, part of me doesn't care... More ironically, when the homeowner saw it, she calmly said, "Yeah, I saw that spider the other day in another room... I just ignored it" Seems only us "U.S.'ers" are scared of these.

That little mesh tent..you would feel safe??? No way...
A spider that size can lift the edge and snuggle right in and gnaw your leg off..... I stand by my first reaction. Are you sure the men of the village left? Did they look for that things nest? I sense the making of a horror film in the air.
P.S. killing it with a broom would not make me any happier...I'm sure it was not the only one. Scooby Doo out of there...you bet
