Yep, until I can upgrade to a 240, hopefully soon(I probably still will have some like that, I like it too, if you think about nature, broken chunks grow from where they end up, whether on a rock or another coral). Yes the Monti's will die or go into remission is more like it for most of the caps(you know how tough they are). That dark green one though is a very tough one, it can kill the Acro's. I have to keep it in check so it doesn't do my sticks harm. I have some Acro's perched on other ones with no problems( a Leng sy and a Purple Cap), the Monti just either doesn't grow there or grows in a different direction. The only real thing is making sure the Monti doesn't over grow the Acro, when they are frags this is more likely to happen(the Monti's just grow too quickly sometimes). I have had some like that for some time now, I'd say my longest, the yellow/green Acropora Butani has been there for about a year now, that one is on a frag disc, so it has kept the Green Monti from killing it. Just be careful and experiment a little first I guess. I love all my SPS, but the caps are getting out of control. I just hacked, about 2/3 of it, up an orange one I've had for about 3 years, They just take up too much room, and me being a dumb a , putting them up at the top. Live and learn, when I upgrade I will try to do a little better with the layout of things. Have a good one Gator.
