Hey all I think I finally figured out how to post pics, have been chugging along and reading your q and A s for over a year now, I know we all like pictures... so can you refer to the lower post that I placed today on Ammonia and Nitrates and give me any input???
Thanks in advance

Display Tank is on first floor of house (155 Gallon), all other Sump/fuge is in the basement....little bit of plumbing, and a little bigger pumps for compensation of head pressure, but I would not have it any other way....no noise, nothing showing, all the dirty work happens downstairs in the basement. Chiller, sterilizer, skimmer all downstairs on re-converted 55 gal tank with 3 chambers.

I've considered that same setup for the 180 I'm putting together, though it would be too much work for me right now. I'll be more of a back-burner type of thing.

I'm not sure which other post you're referring to, but I'll reply on it if I come across it. Nice looking tank, btw.

It is really nice..but you have to make sure:
#1 you are single and commited to the residence you are currently living in for @ least a couple of years.
or #2 Have a very understanding wife that enjoys the addiction as well as you do
I have Option 2....god bless her!!!

Yes, a pair of Royals. They were purchased as a pair, hated each other for the first 3 months in the DT (hung out on opposite ends of the tank), but now seem to have made ammends and hang out casually.
I can use all the advice that you guys can spare with the photo technology...sorry....I was just happy to be able to post.

The lighting is the Coral life combo hood with (3) 250 w MH 10k, and (4) 96 w actinics, also has the LED moon lights and built in cooling fans. The next investment shortly after this was a Chiller, couldnt do without it. I am looking at changing out the MH s to 14 K in the near future.

Yes I do have full cover, and yes it is a pita....I clean it about twice a week to keep it as clear as possible. I decided to give it a try as it came with the tank, and with the magnitude of lighting 10 k's it doesn't seem to have affected my coral growth which is pretty good. I might have to rethink if I do 14 k's. also it helps prevent fish suicide....had to rescue my dragonnet about two weeks ago from free Willy attempt. I don't know how he did it, but he made it through the only void in the cover at the rear of the tank which is only about 1" x 1 1/2" square!!! BTW he recovered from his brief adventure and is doing well.
