Nah, throw it it and splash down. where it lands in the tank, it stays. I am looking for something right now to start break it down.

WOW that's a hunka rok. Good luck breaking it up! I had to do this with some of mine, but we're talking miami Oolite rock...MUCH easier to break up. I used a 5lb hand sledge and a cold chisel.

I just used a hammer. Took 20 minutes and had little rubble come off. I was pleased with the results.

Yeah I was shocked to see the hunk of rock that big in the mail. The box it came in was destroyed from the trip. lol

Looks great, but if you got it from marcorocks, go get yourself a nice phosphate/silicate sponge, cause you are looking at serious diotem outbreak. I suggest you seed it before you throw it into the dt.

Didn't buy from macrorocks. I washed it off really good until water was clear and threw it in. I check the water twice daily since and all parameters within norm just like before I put the rock in.
