GORGEOUS wrasses!!~

I have a question about your yellowfin fairy wrasse. I got one yesterday and ever since it's been in my tank, it's been in the back, hiding behind a rock. It is in my 29g Biocube with a perc clown and bicolor blenny. Both of them are not aggressive at all. When I fed everyone today, the wrasse didn't come out from behind the rock to eat. He did swim out a little under the rock for about 5 minutes to see what was going on, but after that, he went right back behind the rock.
Is this normal behavior for the first couple of days of being introduced into a new tank? It is a gorgeous fish and I'd hate it if I'll never get to see it.
What has been your experience with this particular fairy wrasse?
Here's mine when it was starting the acclimation process yesterday.

Peeking around the corner...

hi kat that is a very nice yellowfin you have there and yes they will hide for the first few days..if it does not start to eat after a few days then i would be worried..this is why i qt all fish i get to make sure they are eating and get any thing that might be wrong with them fixed but with yours in the tank just make sure that none of the others in there are after it and it should start to come out more often..and once it is acclimated it should settle in just fine..let me know how things go with it

Thanks! I saw him at the LFS and thought he was beautiful, so I had them hold him for me until I got him on Friday.
My tank is at work, so I don't get to see what's going on at all times, I just know that when I went to check on them yesterday, I didn't see him swimming around and saw that he was wedged into some rocks in the back. After I fed everyone, he did come out and swim around the back "cave" area for about 5 minutes, but that was it.
I'll see them again tomorrow, so I hope that maybe by then, he will have settled in a bit and will feel more comfortable coming out more. My percula clown and bicolor blenny are pretty peaceful, so I wouldn't think that they would bother him.... they would be "curious" about him, but I don't think that they would bother him. I took my sixline wrasse back to the LFS last week before I got the yellowfin because I KNEW it would be disaster if he stayed.
I feed my fish a variety of frozen mysis, brine and marine cuisine, soaked in garlic plus, zooplex and omega fatty acids vitamins. Do you think that the yellowfin will eat this? What do you feed yours?
Thanks so much for your help! I will definately keep you updated on the progress!

We have nori at work for the tangs in our 225 gallon in the lobby, so I'll try that also.
What should I do if he doesn't come out to eat in the next day or so? If I had to remove him for any reason, it would be next to impossible without having to remove everything from the tank because the rocks that he loves to hide behind are the rocks that form the foundation of my aquascape.
I'm going to cross my fingers that when I get to work tomorrow, I will see him swimming around and he will be eager to eat.

Tomorrow will be his 3rd day in my tank.
We'll see!

LOVE those pics of your yellowfin!~
They truly are beautiful fish!
I'm here at work now and a little more hopeful. My yellowfin is swimming all around, but staying in the back area in the "cave". He's not all wedged into the rocks like he was Saturday. I won't feed my fish until around 2pm, so I will keep my fingers crossed until then that he will come out and eat.

Yay!!! He came out to eat!!~

He's still very cautious and testing out the situation, but he came out to eat! Never have I been more happy to see a fish eat than I was with him!

Thank you so much, again, for your help and reassurance with this beautiful fish.

As soon as he feels more comfortable with swimming out in the open where I can get a good pic of him, I will definately share them with you!
