I just started in saltwater almost 3 months ago (3 years experience in fw). Now that my new lighting came in and all my equipment purchases are done I wanted to share some pics of my tank and ill keep adding to it as new stock is introduced.
Equipment
Clear for life 50gal tank (built in wet dry)
45lbs live rock
20lbs live sand
20lbs crushed coral
Venturi skimmer
Nova extreme pro
2 Koralia #1's
Stock
.. fiance named them
Mandarin Goby Spotted (Gizmo)
Blue Tang (Wu-Tang)
Lemonpeel Dwarf Angel (Duh)
False Percula (Shado)
Cleaner Shrimp (Rosa)
Fire Shrimp (Red)
12 Hermits
24 Snails (not sure what kind but hermits have killed about half)
Green Mushroom

Id like to add one more perc and an anemone followed by corals.
Thanks for looking, comments are welcome.

nice tank. just make sure u hv enough pods for the mandarin.
Thanks bob, also im loving the new light. Huge difference vs the PC fixture I had. Thanks again for your suggestion.
Ive had the Mandarin for about a month and a half. I know big "NO NO" considering its a new tank without pods. I hadnt researched at the time I got him considering he was one of the first fish. Luckily for me he eats brine, mysis and cyclops.

Looks good! Got any pix of the back of the tank? And like the other poster said make sure that mandarin get enuf to eat. I bet you could make part of the back of the tank into a small refugium for pods. That clown looks just like mine with the orange lipstick

I have thought of that, ever since reading everyones post on how Mandarins are finicky eaters and pods is the best form of food for them. I just havnt explored the idea completely yet.
Beneath the bioballs I have about a 10x5x4 area I was thinking for a refugium, but not sure if that space is big enough.
Here are pics of the tank with a quick p-shop diagram.

That would be perfect IMO. add egg crate so the cheato cant get into the pump then add a clip on light it dosent have to be much and then add the cheato. space is not a big deal as long as you keep it trimed and it gets enuf flow. Even if you dont do the refugium I would take out the bioballs and add live rock rubble.

It looks like you have a beautifully kept aquarium. You can always add copepods to your aquarium to get a nice population started.

Going along nicely.
Looks like a colony of pink zoanthids? I find them to be one of the hardest zoanthids to photograph. I don't know why that is. I have yet to get good pics of mine capturing the true beautiful pink colors.

It is a nice tank.
That is a Lemonpeel angel right? It's already changed for Juvey to adult, but that thing will just nip LPS corals to death (and zoas to an extent - plus clams). The only reason I say that is because I have tried to keep about 53 of them I believe to this point. Literally. Who knows, maybe yours won't though.
Also has anyone kept gobies, or any other sand dwelling fish together?

Youre absolutely correct with the lemonpeel. That thing will go around picking at anything new I add into the tank
After a week it will get bored of the new addition.
