Squidd sorry i did a little monkey math on that one i meant i wanted between 60-70 gallons total. I have not yet decided on the flow or any of that. i trying to do this project one step at a time. what flow would you recommend for this type of setup i am piricing overflow boxes right now. so pumps and flow rates are next on the agenda.

First step is to identify what type of tank you plan on running FO..FOLWLR...Reef and type of Fish and a general idea on Coral type SPS/LPS?Softie...
This will help define your flow needs...

jeffro, it is just a 20 gallon with baffles, in it. I wanted many as a fuge, though it does have my protien skimmer in the right chamber.

was that an easy setup? tank, silicone, baffles, overflow box, tube, and return pump? that is very similiar to the setup idea that i'm kicking around. My life is based on simplicity.

This setup was very easy. I did exactly what you said. Bought 20g, 1/4in plexiglass baffles, silicone, overflow, tubes, and return pump, along with l.s. and brillo.

thanks hurt that is a great pic. setting up my fuge is this weekends project.. all these ideas will help alot.
Squidd i have had my tank setup for around 11 months now it's a reef tank. the thing is it was sitting on a stand for a TV so there was barely any room below. well i am remodeling the living room and decided it was time to build a stand where i could house my refugium and put my new TV on the current fish stand. now that this is done. my tank is on its new stand with ample space below for another 30g. thus the begining of the "refugium project" :joy:
