Before anyone starts... I have an empty 220.
The project is sitting in basement... not exactly sure about the size but the 12 foot custom acrylic pieces are expensive.
So after give me a price of $300 a piece I say fine and then the owner states that he can not sell them because it is now illegal to import them that small.
So he is going to but them in a 125 and after that who know.
That is what sucks about this hobby... the who know comment.
So for the record... leopard have the same penalties as sea turtles in most areas.
Enjoy the 20 years...

I know EXACTLY which store AND which employee you talked to.

well i don't think it is possible for a leopard to be 2 inches unless taken out of the stomach when it is still in a pregnant mom's stomach

I am sure that this guy was only keeping those sharks in that tank temporilly because they are expensive, I dont think he would waste that much money.

im sorry, but even temperary, he should get 20 years, but this is just me,who feels sorry for each and every shark in that tank. how do we know what ever happend to them? yes it has been 1 year. but most likley only a few survived to the person who has treated it with the proper care. i do see this often someone buys the animal with good intensions, and the animmal dies from transport, or health problems(stunting) wich is painfull for the shark ,and needs to be put to sleep.i have seen this preformed on a big shark that was kept in a not so good size tank. and it broke my heart. sorry if im rambling but this is upsetting.

Ah, leopard sharks... beautiful specimens that really don't belong in most folks tanks... They really need very large systems and a chiller if you're serious about keeping them.
Now if this guy had a chiller and only housed these guys for a few months, I don't see a problem here...
Of course there is the issue of legality of baby leopards...

That picture is 5 years old. Not one. The legality of having these animals in 2001 (or before if he purchased them prior to 2001) is the question. Isn't this whole conversation a little moot now? How about something a little more current?
