I have two.. they hang out in this cave in my live rock... and one always stands in the "doorway" of it.. you can see them if you like sit on the floor.. or look really low into the tank. Its so frustrating sometimes! At night.. they are all over the tank though.
ITS FUNNY, I JUST LOOKED AT THE ABOVE POST.. IS YOUR BLUE DAMSEL BUDDIES WITH YOUR PEPPERMINT? MINE LIKE HANG OUT TOGETHER.. HE IS MY DAMSEL IN THEIR CAVE.

Right behind his tail is the srhimp but you cant see from this photo because you cant see into the cave

My blue Damsel and peppermit had been friends until the sand shifted and they each had to find new homes.

Mine come scurrying out from under and inside the rocks whenever I put food in the tank. All my fish are peaceful and that may make a difference-they do not feel threatened. I have about 8 or 9 of them. Wish I could take pics, but havent figured out how to do it yet!!

Hey Cain, I thought it was camelback when I first saw the picture. Could be the angle so could you get a side view? I swear my LFS store has camel backs that look just like that one.

Here is the description from SWF and picture from another WEB site -- They match for a Camelback. Cain420 yours looks like a peppermint to me also.

The Camelback Shrimp is a kaleidoscope of red and white
. It has a hump on its back which lends to its name. They have large green eyes
and a hinged beak. The Camelback is a peaceful shrimp that likes to be kept in groups. The males usually have long claws that distinguish them from the females. These shrimp like to gather under rockwork and hang upside down during the day. They should be supplied with ample rockwork in which to hide and be fed on a regular basis.
Shrimp belong to the Class Crustacea and Order Decapoda, which is characterized by two pair of antennae, three body parts, and five pairs of legs. The head of Shrimp is connected to the thorax and covered by a shell called carapace. The antennae of Shrimp are normally long and thin and serve the Shrimp as extended eyes. Shrimp have highly developed abdomens which allows for quick movement. In order for Shrimp to grow they need to shed their exoskeleton, a process called "molting", which allows them to remove their restricting shell and begin a new one. Often times in the home aquarium Shrimp will leave this translucent shell in full view so it can serve as a distraction while the Shrimp finds a hiding place and allows its new shell to harden.
