I want to add a pink and blue goby to my 55. However, I don't have a cover on that tank and I think I remember reading somewhere that they are jumpers. Has anyone had one jump out of their tank?

have had mine for 6 monthas in a open top 90 and he NEVER swims to the top of the tank. also NMreef has maybe he will give you advice too
i had one for around 8 months, my biggest problems was trying to get him OUT of the tank. it was an open tank and like connor said... dude never left the sand.
Mine wasn't a jumper but its a good idea to have a cover over the top of your tank anyway. Just go pick up some eggcrate at home depot for $10 and cut to size. Eggcrate is a plastic grid used as a cover in flourescent lighting.
I had the Goby a few months before the shrimp. It took them a couple of weeks to hook up when I introduced the shrimp. The only drawback I found is the large ammount of sand the Shrimp moves while making his burrow. He moved 4" of substrate out from under a 10lb peice of live rock creating piles of sand.
