Pink & green hairy or ric? ID help, please!

My LFS got in 100lbs of LR from an established tank. What they usually sell is base rock at LR prices (no coralline or life at all), so this looked fabulous to me at $7/lb. It had just come (damp in newspaper), so I had to choose without knowing what the "blobs" were going to be.... There are two of these on this particular rock; one the size of a green pea and this one, the size of a nickel and getting bigger. It is peachy-pink, with irridescent green in some spots. Is it a hairy shroom or a ric? Whatever it is, I'm thrilled to've finally gotten something for free from this particular LFS!

Looks kind of like a majano anemone...which have a nasty sting and are harmful to all inhabitants, including you.

:notsure: If it is, I retract my previous statement about being thrilled... but really, maybe the pic isn't very good. It looks a lot like my rics did when I first got them before they opened up...

I will agree. Definately not majano that I have ever seen. Could be wrong but looks like some sort of ric. to me.

Oh, TG. Glad the extra pic helped...
Do young green anythings start out pinkish?
It looks more like my rics than it does my hairies... and there IS a difference, correct?

I think Ricordea come from the atlantic ocean and Hairy shrooms come from the indo-pacific.

Really? That's really interesting. I like rics better.
But... I forgot to ask the rock where it was from.
Lame attempt at humor.

Yes, in the second picture, the tentacles definitely don't seem as extended as in the first. But majanos sometimes have a greenish tint to them and are more likely to be hitchikers than lovely corals, that why I also threw that out there. Hope I didn't scare you too much...haha.
