pink lobster

Hi, just wondering if anyone out there has a pink/purple lobster. I bought one about a month ago and havent seen it since I put it in the tank. I'm debating to give all my rocks a good cleaning and take everything out and then I can also see if the bugger is still alive. I'm curious if anyone else has one of these and can lend some information. Thanks-Jaime

I have a purple reef lobster, hind sight is 20/20 if I would have known that i would never see him I would never had bought it. I have had mine for about 2 months now, and have seen him maybe 12 times. The trick is to find what he would like to eat, mine eats shrimp pellets. After the lights are off at night, drop in a few in a small pile and see if he comes out to eat, mine will come out about 50 percent of the time

careful, pink and purple ones are very agressive and will eat your fish if they can catch them!

My guess is your lobster is still alive. I had the same problem with my strawberry crab. I thought she was dead and gone until one night when I came home late and by chance saw her moving around. She hides in the rocks during day hours and comes out at night. I bought a moon light so that I can enjoy her.

I have a purple reef lobster. I see it once a month. Thought it was died once but it was only a shed.

i never see my pistol shrimp, unless i look under my tank through my cabinet and into it's homes.

My Blue lobster fot the first month was totally hidden,, now hes more bold and will eat from my hand! NO CLAWS TOO!

Did the overhaul thing on the tank last night. Pink/purple lobster alive and scuttling! My tank looks fantastic as well, might I add! Thanks for the responses. :happyfish
