anyone ever had one of these pink plate corals that GLOW amazingly under actinics??? I just bought one and its beautifull. Just curious if they are seen alot and normal to come by.
Pink/red plates aren't as common as the usual greens and oranges.
Looks great puffer!
Here's a redish plate at one of my LFS. It appears brown in the picture, but it's much more red in person. They're selling it for $110, but I would consider that cheap for a plate like this. Another shop has two of them in their display.
These are short tentacle fungias so they shouldn't be that long.
I'm not sure about the one in the first pic, but the plate in my second pic has been in captivity for at least 6 months, maybe even a year.
at one point, i was looking for one for quite some time. however, i could never find one except for the brown ones with barely pink edges
but now i cant have one cause i have too much lr and frags in my reef to fit on. lol
Yeh it does look orange in that pic...depending on where you move it it changes colors..even without the actinics i can get it under the lights and it looks pink but i only have two hands and cant hold the camera the coral and the lights to move them back all at the same time :jumping:
