Pink slimy algae

I have a problem with some pinkish/maroonish slimy algae growing on the sand and rocks at the front of my 5 gal eclipse nano. It seems to disapear overnight but comes back slightly thicker than the previous day once the lights have been on for awhile. What can cause this and what can prevent this? All of my levels (ammonia, nits, alk,ph,calc) are fine. Could this be a light issue? Too intense? Or could t be a temp issue? Too hot? Or both. I installed a 2" 7 cfm fan in my hood last night and my temp has dropped to 81 degrees from a high of 85-86 degrees lately. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like cyano
cyano cannot grow where there is good flow
usually happens from over feeding, phosphates/nitrates, and poor circulation in the area affected.
I have used Boyd's Chemi-clean with good success when i had this problem myself
