Pink tail Trigger

Great fish! I added one to my reef tank about 3 weeks and it's been a model citizen! I really needed the extra load (tank was to sterile) and it's been a beast thus far.

Yes I have one and they are reef safe.
They're very busy swimmers and are ferocious eaters. They don't eat other live fish or corals, but any food you feed the tank they'll dive bomb in eating as much as possible.
If anyone has slow feeding fish that hang back at feeding time and wait for the other fish to finish I would advice against getting one. They will eat anything and everything leaving little food for everyone else unless you overfeed your tank.
If a fish that never stops swimming back and forth all day long and eats like a pig doesn't bother you and you want a trigger I would recommend one for you reef tank.
They have a lot of personality.

i had a blue jaw that had my cleaner shrimp in its mouth but they seemed to be good friends for the first couple of months. the pink tail is still a trigger, so it will prob turn on it one day. also, id suggest a tank no smaller than a 125 or so

...That's the tank's fault?

Great looking trigger, despite their mean appearance, they are actually quite well behaved, mine never bothered any smaller fish, I never had it in with crabs, and shrimp though. From the looks of yours it is about 8"?

My Pink Tail lives with two cleaner shrimps. When he first went into the DT my cleaners gave him a good scrubbing with no problems.
