This has been on my rock for about 3 or 4 weeks. There are about 4 of them throughout my tank. Each one has a tiny thread-like thing hanging off the end of it. They are very small, about 1/16th of an inch. Any ideas?

Looks like a vermetid snail to me. When ever I find one in my tank I put a ball of super glue on the hole to kill him. They can repopulate quick and make a mess in a tank.

x2 on vermatid, they are harmless filter feeders, it will throw out clear string to catch food in the water which can be annoying.

Do they kind of coil and not move? I always thought these were little tube worms as they never moved... gotta google this now.

They have a snail stage and like the other post you will need to remove some at times.

Wow learned something new today... just thought they were stationary little tube worms as I have a zillion baby feather dusters everywhere else I just grouped them in with them.
I like above they are harmless filter feeders except for cutting your hand should you run into them rearranging or cleaning.

Like stated above. If you get too many in your tank they can cover everything in a web. That is why when I find them I get rid of them.

Just regular super glue? Like from the hardware store?
