Wear gloves if you don't want to get stung. The "sting" does not hurt it, the tentacles will just stick to you making it hard to place. It will move where it wants to- so placement is a moot point.

How old is your tank? And what type of lighting do you have??
ALSO...make sure you cover your powerheads...this way when it decides to roam, it will not get sucked up into one.
AND When it does start roaming, just let it be. Trying to get it to stay where you want it will only stress it out, and it will go where IT wants anyway.

+1 on the lighting...condies require all the light you can give them. IMHO, MH is pretty much a must for them. and they do indeed have one of the more potent stings as far as nems go.

That is what i have on the lighting. My tank has been up and running for about 4 months i want to say. They LFS said it should be fine, seeing how my corals are doing great. I have a nano tank, so there is not really anything he can get stuck in, i have a submerged powerhead, but the bottem of it is covered with some foam stuff, so that my fish or corals wont get stuck in it.
As far as gloves, will the ones like dr's use be ok?

Just make sure the gloves have no powder...
Usually 6 months is a good waiting time for an anemone, and that is if all has gone well
As far as the lighting...IMO...for a condi fluorescents will not be enough....sorry...I have killed a couple before :(

First rule of fight club... Never take a LFS's advice.
