Pipefish

Could I keep a pipefish in a 12g nano tank? He'd be the only fish.
I've read a lot about seahorses, but not much about pipefish. Do they thrive under pretty much the same circumstances?
My LFS owner has one in his tank.... it's sweet!

I love pipe fish to, but I've never kept one. The only seahorse that can thrive in a 12g nano tank are the dwarf seahorse-or ponies as I call them I keep them. I love the little buggers. Pipe fish and "Horses" need at least a 30g high. They do thrive under the same conditions, however, they do not make good tank mates do to the special dietary needs of the seahorse.
This is "Titan":

There are also dwarf pipefish that only get about 3", so if you can find one it would work. Just remember that they are very social so mabey it be better to get two or three.

A dwarf one, hey... that'd be cool esp to have a couple of them. I can go up in size in tank, but want to keep it on the smaller size.
