Pistol shrimp jumped to its death...

Ok.. I had heard yellow watchmen goby may jump out of the tank. But I was doing some maintenance tonight and found my pistol shrimp completely dried out behind the stand! Has anyone else seen this happen before?
Secondly.. I'm looking for something to replace it, and since this was my second pistol (first one was a bad buy and didn't live long)... I'm looking for seomthing else. Current tank stock = 10 blue leg hermits, 8 various snails, 1 pep shrimp, 2 true percs, 1 flame angel. I want a gold banded coral shrimp, but am afraid its antenna would rub up against my anemone too easily. 29 gallon tank size too btw. Or should I just get another tiger pistol and hope for the best on round 3? lol

what type of anemone? unless its a carpet you should have too much trouble with the shrimp unless it hops right the anemone

The anemone is a RBTA. So with it staying pretty much in one spot I should be ok with a coral banded?
Perhaps my flame angel was harassing it, they've always gone back and forth over holes. Normally the pistol will snap at him a few times and that's it for a few days. The last two days I remember hearing snapping though it was when the flame was in the front of the tank and the pistol in it's home. Is it possible the goby got aggressive with the shrimp? That's the only thing I know of other than the flame that would have bothered him. With the flame sleepign at night and the pistol active at night I don't think that would be the cause would it?
Any more cool recommendations? Or even better recommend a specific type of pistol to replace with? Nothing too aggressive (as much as I would love a bullseye pistol).

There are different kinds of pistol shrimp. Mine is a Randall, some called a Tiger pistol shrimp as well. I have had it for years with my watchmen gobie, no problems other than the shrimp burying my corals or clams once in a great while. And I have never heard of them jumping out of a tank, my shrimp could never even make to the rim of the tank let alone go carpet surfing.

Yeah, I had a tiger pistol before. I still can't believe it ended up on the carpet.. =/. For now it has been replaced by a coral banded, I had wanted one for ages anyway, now with the tiger gone I had no excuse. Besides my watchman is more active without a pistol shrimp.. yet he seems to have taken up with my peppermint lol.
