pistol shrimp

so i was wondering if you can tell me about them and if there reef safe and if they can be kept with other fish etc. i was think bout getting one but i want info on them first

They are reef safe, I have one and he is so fun to watch. He works harder than I do, lol. You can buy them paired with a goby and that makes a great adition to a tank. The shrimp will build a small house under the live rock, and they will both hang out there.

They love to dig. So you want to ground you LR properly. They do make a ton of loud clicking noises but its not really bothersom. The may cover some corals. You wont see it a ton but it does come out.

well i have a yellow watchman goby in the tank already but the tank is in my bedroom so how loud are the clicks? enough to keep me up at night

no...well maybe at first. But not too bad. I had two tanks in my room both had pistol shrimp in them. I slept fine.

and its a 12 gal nanocube dx what size tank do they need?

that should be fine. I kept mine in a ten!
