planning a new 75 gallon tank

hello,
i was recently given a 75 gallon and im think about this set up tell me what you think.
85 pounds of LR-tongo and fiji.....most likely 60 pds fiji and 25 pds tongo
3 1/2 inches of LS
A skimmer
anf the fish i want are as followed:
10 blue leg crabs
10 red leg crabs
10 green emerald crabs
2 false percula clownfish
2 firefish
4line wrasse
5 peppermint shrimp
one red general starfish
1 royal grama
15 turboi snails
1 yellow watchman goby
another suggestions will be great...is there to much fish.....what ekse should i add......more LR or LS. thank you

seems like a lot of emerald crabs. Also - I do not know alot about the 4 line or the royal gramma - I'd make sure they are peaceful tank mates - but everything else sounds good.
The one thing I would suggest is a slightly deeper sand bed - go for hte 4-5 inch range!

i'd agree with OverA and ditch the emeralds, IMO. I perfer sally lightfoots instead. I think the RG and the wrasse would be ok together in a tank that size. maybe add one fighting conch for the sandbed.Just to let you know the blue leg hermits will probably invade the red legs' shells and possibly the snails as well. they are mean bas****s

I was thinkign of 4 emeralds for my 140 being too much ....
I would go with one type of crab over another. My blue legs are pretty well behaved in my 20 - but I also make sure that I get them some shrinking shrimp pellets every once in a while.

I think your list is a little light on the critters ;-) I would suggest beefing up the clean-up crew. I have a 55g Hex with 10 emeralds, which are great IMHO, about 40 hermits, and a total of about 15 different shrimp. I also have a Royal Gramma in with a six-line wrasse, I don't know of any temperament differences in the four and six-line. They get along great. The RG is the more aggressive of the two but he doesn't get nasty unless he feels threatened. The only thing I would ditch on your list is the red general star, they are murder on reefs. What you have listed is a good starting point but I would plan on at least doubling the clean-up population at some point. Good luck whatever you decide. :D

im not planning on any corals......maybe somw anomes and i know the light requirements they need.......after some careful thinking and taking in regards to the advise of people this is my new list with new critters:

i want to keep the fish small and i want a peaceful tank where aggrssion is kept as low as possible. i understand the red general starfish is not the greatest thing but i love the wayit looks and i always wanted one. im not going to get any corals but i might add a few featherdusters and some anomes like the condi,hawaiian red anome and and maybe a bubble tip anome. i do not planning on gettiing any corals because i dont believe ill be able to handle it right now and realistically i need to read up on it alot more before i start a real reef tank

... I'd like to point out something I've been told by two different sources, without endorsing whether it is true or not:
One way to try and keep aggression down between fish is to have a very low fish-to-gallon ratio, avoid conspecifics, etc. But ANOTHER WAY, that is perhaps even more effective, is to put enough fish into the space to prevent each fish from becoming territorial.
This was the theory that my tank was based on, which I bought as is, and I've seen no conflict between fish, they're healthy, bright, etc.
I'm not supporting this notion, but it does seem to make some logical sense to me and I'm not finding anything in my tank that convinces me it is wrong.
also, in terms of critters, I (and my son) really like the arrow crab and golden banded shrimp. They hang out where you can see them, and are great fun watching them eat, walk, etc. Plus, they're very hardy.

thanks for the info...im trying to keep the aggrssion down as possible by getting fish that are about the same size and temperment. one question i have is if this will be too much fish. i know most of them can grow up to 2-3 inches. so i think i asm pretty safewith space and temperment. im going to go online and LFS and see the best skimmer they have. im willing to pay up to 350 dollars for a good skimmer. if there is anyone can recommend a good skimmer for that price that would be great. i feel pretty comfortable with the fish and i dont like arrow crabs or sally longlegs because i have had bad experiences with them killing my fish.
so my main question is are there to many fish in my tank and i really want the red general star fish since 7 years ago when i saw it in a LFS. i kinda want to base my tank around that star fish then anything else. any recommendation will be great and that you for all the hel;p.
