hi
I'm planning on building a 220 in my shop. We remoldeling our shop on Memorial Day weekend and thinking of adding a 220 in it. I'm gonna have them run a drain line and a water line under the stand.
Anything i should have them do while they here or any suggestion how to set my 220 up please advise.

Do you mean a sump? I would get a pretty sturdy stand. Not to hard to set it up, just buy 200 lbs of sand and rock.

Both of my overflow will be on one end of the tank because i want both side viewable.
My 220 is gonna be lots of tangs, little bit of LR and a little bit of soft coral.
I'm still very new with this hobby so I need every body to help me put this up will be appreciate.

what kind of sump u guys think i should get. Glass or Acrylic. I would think acrylic is better because is easy to drill hole for external pumb but acrlic cost a little more .

Well you dont want a little bit of rock, especially with tangs. 200lbs would be the minimum. Tangs in a 220 I would do 3 yellows a naso a hippo and 1 other.

the lighting I don't have to worried about because i have a 175w pendant with (2) 96w pc in my garage. I will also gonna order a retrofit system about 4' long with (4) 110w vho and a 400w mh on one end and my 250w mh in my 58g now on the other end.
live rocks, I'm not gonna worried right now because i'm looking foward into my sump right now.
One good news. I just order my tank today and it be here about four to six weeks. Everything is custom make. I have both of the overflow on one end which i told u guys before and my stand and my canopy doors all the way around on both side.
I will post as soon as I have the tank in.
Could any one help me pick out a skimmer, uv sterlizer, or anything i should add to the system. Do I need a chiller?
I proberly gonna order a 55g (36x15x24) acrylic tank for my sump, a storage tank of fresh water for auto top-off, also i could turn that into salt water for my water change. Everything has to be under my tank.
