what about fake plastic plants are they ok to be placed into a saltwater setup?---
i am not plannig on doing so because it will look a little cheap i think but i was just wondering on the matter!"

Plastic plants are cheesy in a saltwater tank IMO.
I'm sure there are plenty of people that put them in their tanks - but ugh :(
Decorations and such - if it didn't come from the ocean - don't put it in your tank has been my philosophy

well i agree with you there i wouldnt have them in my tank but others may do so!
just a question i needed to know the answer to to upgrade my knowledge!

You can definitely put them in, but I wouldn't , it dosn't make yuor tank look "real", like a real saltwater setup. I was going to put some in, but after I put them in it made the tank look pretty bad. :p

Yeah ... I suppose jwtrojan44 has made a good point.
If someone out there want's to put a bunch of plastic plants in a saltwater aquarium ..... it's their prerogative.
I think a bunch of fake plastic plants, a little bubbling pirate treasure chest, 2 or 3 brightly colored human skulls and a small ceramic sign that says " no fishing " would make a nice addition to anyones reef tank.
I'm trying to refrain from my sarcastic remarks - but I found this topic too difficult for me to resist the impulse.
