plastic center brace

how important is this brace? because of course as soon as i finished filling up my 55gal. i hear a loud SNAP. it broke right where it connects to the front of the tank.

i think its there for a reason. if that snapped then you would think that the glass or the trim had to shift also. any leaks yet?

VERY Important!! You could have all your water end up on the floor if you don't fix it.

if im correct your lfs should be able to order like a fix it yourself kit for center braces. how old is it you may be able to return it

i bought it used for $50.00. lol i guess you get what you paid for!!
no leaks yet, but i'm taking all the water out as we speak. what a pain in the ***!!

it looks like it was cracked before i got it and glued back together.
