Plate coral-on rocks, or sand?

On your sand bed, however I have seen very nice Plates on a flat rock about middle ways in aquariums, just let the plate decide! :)

many will say it does best on the sand bed,i once had mine up in the rock work it was doing really well,got really big,i then moved it down to the sand it does not get nearly as big but its not dying,so :thinking:

i have always kept my long tent plate on the sand bed. from what i understand they do not like a lot of flow and dont like being too close to the lights. best bet is start it out on the sand and gradually move it up. if it gets worse the higher you move it, put it back down to the sand, and vice versa.

Okay. I'll leave it on the sand. Although it looked fine up on the rocks, I thought it was telling me something when it seemed to be moving down. Thank you all. I'll post if there are any noticeable changes.
