Plate coral question

So I got a Plate coral last week and placed it in the sand in a high flow area.
Since I was moving it I thought it was ok that the skeleton was showing up, but it stays that way all day, for 10 days now.
The only time it 'fills up' is when I have my moonlights (blue leds) on.
Is there something wrong with it?

Is it a long tentacle plate coral?
Place it in a low flow area and entice it out with some small pieces of silversides or thawed mysis. See if you can get it to come out. I believe they will come out day or night. If you are starting to see tissue recession/necrosis, it's not a good thing.

It's a ST plate.
Should I move it to a low flow?
They do like low to Low/medium flow, and they love it when they are fed small pieces of silver sides and mysis as stated before by snake. I would follow that information, it has also worked for me several years + before trade in's.

I have had 3 of them, over 5 years, 1 out grew my 24 gallon traded it in, one out grew my 24 gallon and then my 55g, so I traded it in and the one I have now was a frag, flame angel ate quite a bit of it, put it in the 24 to recover, and doing well in there. Longest I had one was 3 years. So from my experience with them over that time, they like low to med/low with supplemental feedings.

For feeding I'm using Brine Shrimp right now, is that good? Or should I use something else? Should I also spot feed with some phytoplankton?

Phyto will be useless, as is the brine (brine has no nutritional value). I would recommend mysis or silver sides for feed for it.

I'm very glad to hear that.
Anything but intense flow seems to be acceptable. Raw minced seafood from the grocery store is a good food for them.
What do you mean by raw minced seafood?
Problem from were I live is that I can't seem to find a lot of the stuff I see people suggest.
If its from the grocery store, I should be able to finally find something suggested.

Grocery store seafood like a piece of wild Salmon, a couple Scallops, Squid, Clams, etc. You can mince them with a knife or freeze them and chop them up in a blender or food processor. I freeze it and then use a hand cranked cheese grater.
I'm picky but that might be going too far. I don't used farmed fish or shrimp.
