Need some help with my short tenacle plate. I have had it for two months and it seems to be fading away. The tenacle do not extend like they use to and I can see the skeleton in minute areas. I have been feeding tank microvert, phytoplex and marine snow several times a week. Water test are the following
ph 8.1
sg 1.025
temp 79.9
no2 0
no3 10
nh3 0
ca 440
akl 3.77
mag 1410
Lights are 2x250 cv 10,000 MH with 2 96w actinic. Tank size is 100gal 24"deep.
Thanks

Have you ever direct fed it...mine seems to do much better after a meal of fresh shrimp or thawed mysis...about once a week I give mine a meaty treat and its been with me for over 2 years. Plus they don't seem to like a lot of current so you may want to consider where yours is located. They can be a bit tricky to keep but as long as there is no tissue recession and the conditions are adaquate they can do very well.
