plate coral ?

i found this on my sand bed a few days ago have not added any new peices in about a month looks like a plate coral less than a hlf inch in diameter i have it setting on a piece of rock im afraid it my get blown away by current or possiblly lost by cleaner crew if they knock it down or bury it in the sand can it be glue to rock or not sorry the pics are bad

I'd say yes... looks like a tiny replica of the pink/yellow version I have sitting at the bottom of my tank.

Does it have a hard skeleton?

Looks just like my little hitch hiker. Got him on a coral and he was like the size of a zoo, he is now the size of a quarter.

if it is a plate coral, it should be left on the sand bed. they can injure themselves on rockwork. dont glue him to any rock either.

thanks for the help would a piece of pvc pipe cut down to ring size help him from getting swep away or buried maybe

i would just leave him on the sand bed. put him right out in front, he shouldnt go far. if he does, just stick your hand in and move him back.
