How a drilled tank set up is supposed to work. I just bought one used and inside it there is a black thing like a black hump from top to bottom and I belive there are holes in there. The tank came with a wet dry , a pump. mh, and stand. Am I missing anything? Oh it also cames with some pipes. please let me know if I need anything else. thank you

The pipes that are included with your tank go inside the piece you referred to has the black hump. There should be 2 holes drilled through the bottom of your tank inside the "hump". 1 hole is for water leaving your tank throught 1 pipe and the 2nd hole is for water returning to you tank through the other pipe. Water will overflow into one of the pipes and go out the bottom of your tank into a sump. Most people keep LR, bioballs, filter media in the sump along with possible a protien skimmer. From the sump the water gets pumped back up through the other tube back into your tank.
