DRIZCOL,
It looks like it is starting to go, I would scoop it up in a net, and see if it smells, if it does, toss it! If your tank is getting cloudy as you say, it is most likely dieing. From the pics, I can not tell if the white stuff on the red base is from the anenome or not.
Usually when they die, the will decompose quickly, but I thought the tenticles would go first. Again, see if it smells, if it does, then bye bye anenome.
Wishing you the best of luck

Looks like its on its way out to me  Was the anemone a new addition, if so how did you acclimate it? What's your water quality like, did you feed it, what lights are you running?

Now wait, I've seen healthy anenomes shrivel to that size. If you look at the tenacles, you can see it's still alive. GET RID OF THE CRAB!!! I put one of those suckers in my tank and my anenome hated it! The crabs cause major stress and irritation to anenomes. Please take out the crab and wait a few days before you kill a perfectly beautiful sea creature.

Whoops, I didn't notice it's stomach hanging out. I don't know, it's tenacles look fine and they usually disinegrate when they start dying. I'd say get rid of the crab and wait till morning maybe tommorrow night. Your tank, your call.

it most likely IS NOT disintigrating; I have seen many anemones of that species look that way; have noticed the ones that we have do the same; even have that exact same speices; his clown hates it when it does that; anemones are amazing creatues that will it seems NEVER be fully understood; if it's tentacles seem to be disolving away or the foot seems to be sheeting off too, then perhjaps it is dying; if it's expelling from central orafice, most likely is trying to remove waste; feeding & expelling take place in same location

I have to disagree with those who say it's not dying. It's a gonner. Get it out now. If youse slimy white sperm like stuff floating into the water you better get it out now. <img src="graemlins//dead.gif" border="0" alt="[dead]" />

Drizcol, what's the deal? You seem to have an emergency on your hands, but you haven't replied yet to any of these posts.
What does the bugger smell like? That will tell you everything as Kelly and Broomer said. It may very well be that dieing anemones and perfectly healthy anemones look like this at times (remember how some leathers get that yucky mucous coming off when they're cleaning themselves?). So smelling is the only way to tell.
