Please help me with zoo lighting

I have a 29 galloon hex with 35 pounds live rock.
I want to start putting in zoo's , aenomes, corals and such.
I am tires of hearing the very confusing info from my lfs because they have steered me wrong before and I do not want to invest that much and have the wrong product.
What kind of lighting should I be purchasing to be able to grow these. I would also like (I think it is called ) lunar lighting - moon lights? Could someone please direct me? I will be forever grateful.
Thanks -

The lighting really depends directly on the type of corals & anemones you want. For zoos you do not need a great deal of lighting but for anemones you do... and some more than others.
Have you thought about what types of corals and anemones you would like to keep??

I agree, depends if you want to keep just about everything, I went this route the first time i started this with the lighting bit. I was always told get the most lighting you can, with what you can afford......but if you limit yourself, then you must limit the coral you keep. try to get the MH with compacts. Orbit makes one, and to name others, This will atleast allow you to keep about anything you want. Its good for the future of your reef and you wont say (man i wish I could get that in my reef but I dont have enough lighting). Or be told you cant have that due to your lighting. It is a bigger investment money wise but its worth it. Atleast start with some good compact lighting if the MH's are to expensive, that will get you going, and when the time comes and it comes quick, sell your pc's and buy some MH's with compacts. Just my 2 cents. Good luck

Thank you for the advise. I just visited the orbit site and they have the lights but they are all too big. They start at 24" and the opening in my 29 gallon hex is only 15" , I emailed them and asked them what to do. Wow! Sticker shock! over $400 for the 24".
This hobby is quite the endeavor. I appreciate seeing everyones gorgeous tanks and am amazed at the investments made into them. I inherited this tank, so I guess if I want to make it gorgeous I need to invest in it. I thought I already had! Silly me.
Thank you so much for your opinions , I will be asking more once I get the light.
I trust this site much much more than the goofy kids at my lfs I'm sorry to say.
Glad I have this great resource.
I think I will also be having water flow questions , since I see there are different needs,
my shape tank makes this a bit of a challenge I think. I would never have bought a hex.
Alot of wasted room.
